GHS AFJROTC Awarded Unit of Distinction with Merit!

The GHS JR Air Force ROTC unit was recognized for the third consecutive year as a Unit of Distinction.  For 2010-2011, the GHS unit was recognized as a Unit of Distinction with Merit.  This places the GHS unit in the top 5% of all ROTC units internationally.  Additionally, the GHS ROTC instructors, Colonel Galen Kirchmeier and Master Sergeant Marcus Durden, were recognized with the Outstanding Instructor Award with Merit.  This award places Col Kirchmeier and Sgt Durden in the top 10% of 1,940 AFJROTC instructors based on thier exemplary performance and impact on their cadets, unit, and school community.  Congratulations to all of the GHS ROTC cadets and instructors!
