I have a Bachelors Degree from East Tennessee State University with a major in Mathematics. In addition, I have taken additional courses at ETSU, Walters State Community College, and Cumberland University. I have attended workshops sponsored by the Tennessee State Department of Education, College Board and various other educational bodies. I have a desire to continue to learn because we will never be able to learn all that is out there for our education.

I love the opportunity to teach. I feel that it is a way of service and as such it offers many rewards and requires much dedication. I am married to Johnny Gaby and we are the proud parents of two children, Henry and Rachel. Henry and his wife, Chrissy, have provided us with two wonderful grandchildren. Our granddaughter's name is Cambell and our grandson's name is Isaac. It is such a joy to have them to spoil. Our daughter, Rachel, is married to Josh Cloyd and they live in Washington County. She is currently teaching middle school math in the Johnson City system. They have a deightful son named Andrew. This gives us one more blessing in our family. Our family is also involved with the dairy industry and that requires a great deal of time and energy from all of us. Students will hear me mention my family and farm in class frequently.
