4/3/2020 Schoolcast Message from Mr. Fraley.

GHS Schoolcast

First, I want to share some exciting news about some changes coming to our feeding program. Beginning Monday, April 6, we will provide 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Monday, 2 breakfasts and 2 lunches on Tuesday, and 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches on Thursday, effectively providing meals for 7 days. There will also be some changes to the offerings on the menu to include Chicken Sandwiches, Pizza and hamburgers. The pickup times, pickup locations, and deliveries will remain unchanged. Meals are free to all GHS and anyone 18 years of age or younger and children are not required to be present to receive meals.

GHS is continuing our Learning at Home Program. All students should have their computers at home. Please call the school at 787-7715 if you need to make an appointment to pick up your child’s computer, charger, or need help with internet service. All school devices are monitored and filtered by the school district. For any other needs you may have to contact any GHS Staff member please call 787-8030 as normal.

Teachers and school personnel will be making weekly contacts with students and families with phone calls, Remind 101 group messages, ZOOM meetings and/or emails. We may be using Google Voice to make these calls, other applications or personal phones therefore the numbers will may look as if they are coming from out of the area, or are not familiar to you. As always, continue to monitor the GHS Website for latest news

Teachers are communicating work expectations through email, please make sure your student is checking their GCS email account twice daily. Grade reporting for 3rd Nine weeks was finalized in PowerSchool by today. Please check in PowerSchool to see the 3rd nine weeks grade.

Again, as previously communicated in last week’s message, there will be no TNReady EOC testing this year at any grade level.

All field trips have been cancelled for the remainder of the school year. If applicable, information concerning refunds will be sent out at a later date. All school events are cancelled through 4/27 and some are already being

rescheduled in hopes of returning. GHS Jr/SR Prom has been rescheduled at this time for Monday, May 18th

Also, in accordance with the Governor’s Stay at Home Act, and actions taken by the Town of Greeneville and by the Greeneville Parks and Recreation Department, GCS will be closing all access to playgrounds, ballfields, and stadiums on school property as well as school parking lots to use for recreational purposes until further notice. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we all work together to stop the spread of the Covid 19 virus.

Stay well, stay home and have a great Weekend.
