MSgt Durden served 24 years active duty in the US Air Force. His assignments include Charleston AFB S.C. , Royal Air Force Bentwaters England, San Antonio  TX, Colorado Springs Co., Shaw AFB S.C., Guam and Altus Oklahoma. MSgt Durden has preformed duties as Security Forces MWD handler and combat patrol team leader , Basic Training Instructor, Security Forces Instructor and spent the last 10 years of his career as a Substance Abuse counselor, paramedic and Medical Operations Superintendent. MSgt Durden retired from active duty in Jan 2003 to start the AFJROTC program at Greeneville High School. MSgt Durden received a AA in Police Science from the Community College of the USAF, an AS in Military Leadership from Rio Salado College. He received his BA in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland and Masters in education from Western Governors University.
