MSgt Talmage

MSgt Jason M. Talmage

MSgt Talmage served in the United States Air Force for 20 years before retiring in April 2023. He held various positions in his career: a C-130 Hercules Avionics Maintenance Technician, Avionics Maintenance Technical School Instructor, as well as Professional Military Education Instructor. Master Sergeant's last job was a as a Production Superintendent in charge of 50+ aircraft maintenance personnel. After enrolling in the DOD's Skillbridge program and acting as an intern instructor in Foley High School for 3 months, Sergeant Talmage realized that his calling was to be an AFJROTC Instructor. Three months later Sergeant moved his family to Greeneville, TN to be around the mountains where they could be in the great outdoors as much as possible and stare at the beautiful Appalachian Mountains. MSgt Talmage teaches leadership education, communication, civics, personal finance and drill.

Major Stabiler

Major Tyler L. Stabiler

Major Tyler Stabiler retired from the Air Force in January 2017 after 26.5 years of service.  His Air Force duties culminated at Tyndall AFB, Florida, serving as an Instructor/Evaluator Air Battle Manager.  He led a team of 63 military and civilian personnel in developing and instructing Air Battle Management trainees from Active Duty, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve personnel.  Major Stabiler is a native of Baton Rouge, LA.  He joined the Air Force in 1988 and received his commission in 2001 through Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC).  He served at 8 different permanent duty assignments that included Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) and Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) flying assignments, accumulating over 1,500 flying hours that included over 800 combat hours. He started teaching at GHS in August 2018 and teaches Aerospace Science while partnering with MSgt Jason Talmage on Leadership Education, Health and Wellness, STEM Education, Personal Finance, and Government to all grade levels of the JROTC program.
