GHS is excited to announce that the application for the GHS Devil Med Ballad Health Academy’s Nursing Program, powered by TCAT, is now open for GHS students in upcoming Grade 9.. The application for Ballad Academy can be found on the Ballad website at: https://balladhealthacademy.org. 

In addition to the application, the website contains a variety of resources and information about our program. We encourage you to take a few moments to learn more about Ballad Academy and what we have to offer students.  

This program is designed to offer an early glimpse into the rewarding field of medical programs by providing a pathway for students interested in healthcare careers to earn dual enrollment credits  in the TCAT Nursing program while they are in high school. Based on preliminary registration numbers, this application is going to be highly competitive. 

If a student is interested in pursuing a career in the medical field, he or she is encouraged to apply for the Devil Med program at Greeneville High School. Please note that enrollment in Devil Med is limited and based on an application process. Students accepted into the Devil Med program may have the opportunity to enroll in medical courses at GHS, attend camps and other related activities, graduate with LPN certification, and work at a Ballad Health facility while still in high school. In addition, students may be offered special opportunities to observe and volunteer at the local hospital and participate in the program as part of a cohort. The Devil Med program is funded through a grant from the Bloomberg Foundation. April 3rd is the deadline to submit an application.
