 Year-end wrap-up

As we approach the end of the school year, please make arrangements to pick up any medications that have been provided to the school clinic for your student. All medications must be picked up by or on May 18th.

Medications cannot be sent home with students. Any medications remaining in the clinic after the last day of school will be safely discarded in accordance with school policy.

If you have any questions or need to make special arrangements, please contact the school nurse’s office.

Planning ahead

As summer break begins, it’s the perfect time to start preparing for the upcoming school year. We encourage families to use this time to schedule appointments for updated immunizations, gather required medical documentation, and review or update any emergency care plans for your student.

Please remember that medical information must be updated each school year. The start of the school year is often a very busy time for medical offices, so planning ahead can help ensure everything is completed on time and your student’s records are ready for the clinic.

Required forms can be found on the district website and available online when you register your student for the 2026-27 school year. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact the GHS nurse.

Families, please remember that students should not carry medication with them in their backpacks. This includes prescriptions and OTC medications. Everything should go through our nurse. If you have not filled out the medication forms with our nurse and need your student to have access to those during school hours, please call or email the GHS nurse: cassidyn@gcschools.net .

These documents should be submitted before the first day of school to ensure your child’s needs are safely and appropriately managed.
