The National Honor Society fall blood drive will be Wednesday, November 6. In order to donate, please sign up using the link below. https://form.jotform.com/242877931875171 Some general information about donating blood: You will need an ID to donate and be at least 17 years old. This drive is for students, staff, and community members. 17-year-old donors need to get a permission slip from Mrs. Stevans in room 204 (18-year-olds do not need a permission slip). Students who donate three times at a Marsh blood drive (or have three donations made in their name) during their junior and senior years will earn a red “hero” cord to wear at graduation. Students with 5 donations will earn a red and white “superhero” cord for graduation. Donors need to specify who they are donating for when checking in with Marsh staff. -Here are some requirements for donors: Need to be typically healthy and well No antibiotics in the last 7 days No tattoos in the past month At least 110 lbs 2 days since last COVID Vaccine 14 days symptom free if you have had COVID Drink lots of fluids and have a good meal before your donation!

The GHS GSIA will have a table at the entrance of the GHS football game tonight (10/25/24). We will have Christmas ornaments and tickets for Tailgates and Touchdowns meal which will be available for the Elizabethton game (11/1/24).

The GCHD will hold a flu vaccine clinic at GHS. Student flu vaccine consent forms were sent with GHS students today (10-16-24). If you would like for your student to receive a flu vaccine at school, return the completed form to the GHS Nurse no later than Friday, October 18, 2024. Only students who turn in completed forms will receive the vaccine at GHS. If your student did not receive a packet, he or she can pick one up in any administrative office. Call the GCHD at 423-798-1749 for questions.

Greeneville City Schools’ staff will return on Monday, October 14, 2024, for a day of professional development with students returning to school on a regular schedule on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. Plans are in place, according to the health department guidelines for food service establishments, for the school cafeterias to safely provide breakfast and lunch each day. We will also provide bottled water to students each day until the boil water notice is lifted. In coordination with the Greene County EMA, there is a contingency plan to provide bottled water for an extended period of time should the boil water notice persist. If parents wish to send additional water for their students, please make sure the bottles are sealed and do not leak. We look forward to resuming normal operations and seeing the return of our amazing students and staff.

We will have additional donations available for families in need during our meal pickups! When you come to pick up your meals, we will be handing out bottled water at cars. If you are in need of additional supplies such as wipes, diapers, toiletries, hygiene products, toilet paper, or other items, please park across from NPAC and walk to the GHS cafeteria. We will have staff available to assist those who need help carrying supplies to their cars. The meal pickup will take place on Friday, October 4, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Greeneville High School. Please follow the traffic plan provided, entering from Niswonger Avenue and exiting onto Palmer Street. Our staff will be onsite to direct traffic and assist you. We look forward to serving you and providing these additional resources to our families!

We are pleased to announce that weekend meal pickups will take place on Friday, October 4, at Greeneville High School. Families can pick up meals between 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM at the designated curbside area at GHS. We have enough supplies to provide meals for the entire weekend, covering breakfast and lunch. To help ensure a smooth process, we will be rerouting traffic around the back of GHS to avoid congestion on Tusculum Blvd. Please enter from Niswonger Avenue and follow the directions of our staff, who will be onsite to guide traffic.
